Thursday 8/24 - Conference Day Four; Our Last Day.
I changed to a message I had put to the side but that, at this point, I knew was the right closing seminar presentation. Jack presented Modern Day Joseph and I did Ten Things Parents Should Know to Raise Spiritually Strong Children. The attendees so appreciate specifics of how to achieve the goals. And because these are all business people it is like giving them a business plan for success. All in all, Jack and I presented 12 lectures on marriage and family. In addition, there were question and answer times, group projects, and testimonies. So much happened in four days with all the activities, spiritual rejoicing, and emotions at an all time high that looking back it seems almost surreal.
Toward the later part of the day children’s groups all had their little closing ceremonies and a musical band made up of Taiwan’s First Nations People performed and played christian music. At the close, recognition was given for all those who invested their time and energy to make the Family Conference possible. There was more sharing from various leaders and after the clean up, many pictures were taken, hugs given and received, and the joy that this was well worth all the hard work flooded the place. All the planning and preparation to see this much impact and fruit will go on bearing fruit for years to come!
Jack and I are Grateful. And, we want to bring our GCN board and employees to next year’s Family Conference in Hong Kong. A thousand people are expected to attend!
